Comedian Don McMillan is scheduled to perform at Irvine Improv on October 7, at 7:30 p.m. McMillan, a former Silicon Valley engineer and “America’s Got Talent” competitor, will deliver corporate satire. His routine incorporates charts, graphs, and PowerPoint slides to comment on artificial intelligence and workplace culture.

Great Park Live will host a punk music concert on October 23, starting at 5:30 p.m. The event features veteran punk outfit Rise Against, a Chicago band, alongside Alkaline Trio. The outdoor concert is set to deliver melodic punk anthems and socially conscious lyrics.

The Irvine Barclay Theatre will stage a musical adaptation of Dav Pilkey’s bestselling book series, “Cat Kid Comic Club,” on October 24. There will be two performances, at 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. This stage adaptation is designed for ages 5 and up, following characters Cat Kid and Molly Pollywog as they assist 21 baby frogs in creating their own comics.
