Orange County Register reported that Larry Agran leads the mayoral race against challenger Max Egorov. In the city council contests, incumbent Melinda Liu holds a lead in District 1, incumbent Betty Martinez Franco leads in District 5, and incumbent Kathleen Treseder leads in District 6. Meanwhile, Measure D is leading among voters to shift the city's election system to ranked-choice voting. Agran told Orange County Register that the early returns were very encouraging.
